Created by Marlo Fisken, the Bird of Paradise is one of the most awe-inspiring tricks in the pole dance world. This workshop will begin with a specific warm up which targets shoulder mobility, leg flexibility and side bending. You will learn different entries, exits and variations of the upright and downwards Bird of Paradise.

The beautiful, awe-inspiring Flying Pole! In this workshop, Lisette will teach you her favourite ways to spin on the flying pole, as well as stunning shapes, dynamic spins and combinations that are perfect for flying.

Please make sure poles have swivels and give as much information about the poles as possible.

AERIAL HOOP

AERIAL HOOP FLOWS

This workshop will focus on the interaction and movement of the body and the hoop apparatus. Lisette loves incorporating fast spins and beautiful shapes. In this workshop, you will learn how to incorporate interesting transitions and jaw-dropping shapes into your hoop routines.

For spinning, please ensure that the hoops have swivels and a 1 meter strap at least.

STROP TRICKS ON HOOP

This workshop focuses on using strops and the top bar to create interesting moves and shapes. During this workshop, yo will learn transitions, as well as entries and exits to add to your routines.

FLOORWORK INVASION

This workshop focuses on beautiful floorwork transitions, floor shapes, jumps and body movements. In this workshop, you will learn interesting ways to roll on the floor and to create body shapes, inspired by contemporary acrobatic dance. No heels and heels options.

HANDSTANDS

This workshop focuses on building strength, learning technique and incorporating handstand shapes into your balance practice. Each class begins with a specialised warm-up and conditioning for active flexibility and strength. You will learn new techniques and drills for handstands using the wall or free- standing, depending on your level. Learn new shapes and be guided through the art of the handstand.

 

FLEXIBILITY

ACTIVE FLEXI LEGS – SPLITS, PIKES, STRADDLES

Strengthen while you stretch! This workshop is designed to build your strength and your active and passive flexibility for the front splits, middle splits, pikes and straddles. Each class begins with an overall joint mobility warm-up, followed by a series of exercises targeting the hamstrings, hip flexors, quads, lower back and hip joints.
